Shoalhaven - City of Beauty, Beaches and Bush
The Shoalhaven is that part of the South Coast of New South Wales covering Nowra, Jervis Bay and Ulladulla. It has over 1,000 kms of coastline when you consider all the bays and inlets. However it is more than just "the coast".
Imagine discovering new wineries and vineyards, imagine strolling through village galleries or mighty rainforests, imagine sampling the freshest oysters from Greenwell Point or enjoying a seafood meal for two at a harbour side restaurant, imagine browsing through an antique shop or picking up a bargain at a scarecrow festival.
Maybe just watching the dolphins frolic off Ulladulla while you enjoy a luncheon cruise is something more your style. Alternatively you may prefer to throw in a line at Sussex Inlet and guarantee that your catch of the day is what you will be eating tonight.
Or perhaps discovering the pristine beauty of Jervis Bay and walking along the whitest sand in the world at Hyams Beach is something new. Maybe sharing your time with seals and penguins or going out on a whale-watching cruise is your idea of spending a day.
Whatever it is that you would rather be doing we have it all for you.
Nowra is a pleasant 2-hour journey south from Sydney (163 kms) and we have a range of accommodation right throughout the Shoalhaven to suit all tastes and budgets.
